This mixed media artwork started out as a small cloud study painting, then I took prints of that and created a kaleidoscopic collage on top of which I painted neon pink pigeons. I wanted it to feel like a cloudburst, like when you are walking through the city in the early morning and walk past a flock of pigeons and as one they all take flight. Its a humble bird I've grown a fondness for.
The artwork extends onto the matt giving a 3D effect. If you shine a UV light over this, all the pink grows. The frame was second hand and I refinished it to match the painting.
