A mixed media painting of neon pink pigeons on a background of abstract clouds. The whole artwork is sculpted into the shape of a cloud.
This mixed media artwork started out as a small cloud study painting, then I took prints of that and created a kaleidoscopic collage on top of which I painted neon pink pigeons. This was placed onto a substrate of foam board that I sculpted into the shape of a cloud. I wanted it to feel like a cloudburst, like when you are walking through the city in the early morning and walk past a flock of pigeons and as one they all take flight. Its a humble bird I've grown a fondness for.
This painting would fit well over the bed, inviting replenished mornings.
