I created this ink painting after reading a book about the science of plant behaviour. I was so inspired by that mysterious botanical world that I found myself drawn to the way plants move with intention and awareness. I chose to depict the pea plant as the archetypical plant as it was one of the first plants to be scientifically studied.
Through layers of hand-painted ink against a dark botanical background, ethereal tendrils dance and interweave, suggesting the subtle intelligence that exists in the plant kingdom. This surreal nature study celebrates both scientific observation and the quiet mystery of botanical life.
